Alisha is a Client Care Specialist at Petersen Pet Hospital. Working with animals and being involved in animal welfare has always been her passion. She grew up in Marion and attended Linn-Mar High School. After graduation, she attended Kirkwood Community College for the Humane Officer program which she graduated from in 2013. While attending Kirkwood Community College, Alisha went to work at Cedar Valley Humane Society. She ended up loving it so much, that she stayed on after graduation as an Animal Care Technician.
Her family has always encouraged her to help animals and to do what she loves. Alisha has had various jobs with many different types of animals, which include dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and reptiles. Working in the animal field, in other capacities, inspired her to pursue her dream of working in a veterinary clinic.
Alisha currently resides in Marion with her husband, Brandon, and four amazing fur-babies: Lola, the Teacup Chihuahua who is a dancer and diva (with a capital D); Jack, the Jack Russell/ Rat Terrier who is a counter surfer and sock relay runner; Gizzmo, the orange cat who acts as Queen of the house and referee to the others; and Lori, the black cat who is as stealthy as a ninja.
In Alisha’s spare time she loves to hang out with her friends & family, play video games, and watch movies. She also enjoys the outdoors; disc golf, camping, and kayaking. Of course, there is always snuggling and playing with her fur-babies.
